How we work

We work independently across multiple carriers and plan types. That means the conversation starts with your situation rather than with whichever product we'd prefer to place, and it ends with a recommendation you can explain back to someone else.

Every plan we show comes with its trade-offs stated out loud: what it covers well, what it covers poorly, and who it isn't right for.

What we won't do

There are a few things we've decided against, and they shape the whole practice.

• We don't ask for a Social Security number or medical history to show you options.
• We don't present a plan as the best without saying what it gives up.
• We don't use invented statistics, reviews or testimonials anywhere on this site.
• We don't rush a decision that has a real deadline attached to it.
